Devonshire is a member of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas, the Texas Apartment Association, the National Apartment Association and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors.
A key component to the success of Devonshire Real Estate and Asset Management is the experience and dedication of each of the corporate employees. Each of these individuals has a proven track record and experience in all segments of the multi-family and commercial market. These individuals have represented individual property owners as well as institutions and REITS.
John R. Redden received a B.B.A. from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in 1978. With degrees in accounting and finance, Mr. Redden spent several years in public accounting with Seidman & Seidman. In 1982 Mr. Redden became a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas.
Over the next thirteen years Mr. Redden worked in various capacities in the real estate industry including real estate development, facilities management, real estate and business workouts and as Executive Vice-President of a large homebuilding company.
In 1995 Mr. Redden joined Hartex Property Group, a small multi-family acquisition and management company located in Dallas. At the time the company owned and operated 8 properties consisting of 2,300 units. In March 1997, Mr. Redden became President of Hartex Property Group. During his tenure the company grew to over 40 properties consisting of 12,000 units owned and operated.
Charles Goolsby received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Houston before beginning his career in the multi-family industry as a manager for Lincoln Property Company. Over the next ten years, Mr. Goolsby worked as a regional director for Krupp Realty in Boston, EVP for Brownstone Management in Houston and a VP for Picerne Management in Phoenix.
In 1988 Mr. Goolsby joined VMS Realty Partners in Chicago as Senior Regional Manager for the Dallas office, where he was responsible for the on-site operations of over 3,500 units in fifteen cities. In 1992 Mr. Goolsby left VMS to join Concierge Management Co. as Vice President of Operations for over 6,300 units located in Texas, Georgia, Arizona, and California. Concierge was subsequently acquired by Walden Residential and Mr. Goolsby was appointed Vice President with responsibility for 7,700 multi-family units located in Texas, Oklahoma, and Indiana.
Mr. Goolsby joined Devonshire in June 2000, and is currently a Regional Director for units in Dallas and Ft. Worth.
